Main Purpose of Job

This is an executive level management position that reports director to the Board for the Certification of Child Care Program Administrators and Child and Youth Care Practitioners to administer the statutory mandates of the Board. This position requires extensive knowledge of management, budget, compliance and planning as well as a high level of analytical skill.

The principle duty of this position is to direct a staff of 2 individuals to develop, evaluate and implement the administrative procedures to ensure that the Board fulfils it's mandated responsibilities. The Board's statutory responsibilities include licensure, disciplinary, legislative, regulatory, public information, fiscal and general administrative functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a bachelor’s degree and six years of administrative or professional experience, three of which at a supervisory or management level.  A master’s degree will substitute for one year of general experience.  Additional experience will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the bachelor’s degree.  A doctorate will substitute for two years of general experience.

Candidates may remain on the certified eligible list for a period of at least one year. The resulting certified eligible list for this recruitment may be used for similar positions in this or other State agencies.
