Main Purpose of Job

This position is the full performance level of work involving the custody, training and supervision of adult inmates engaged in institutional laundry operations at a correctional institution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: One year of experience in laundry operations.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in the production process from withdrawing raw materials to prepare for shipping.
Experience in Fire Safety, Equipment Safety and Personal Safety.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suites.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees who have not already done so must complete and successfully pass the Entrance Level Correctional Training Course required for the Maryland Correctional Training Commission certificate during the probationary period.

Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.

Selected applicant MUST successfully complete a background investigation.
