LOCATION OF POSITION
MDH, Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Annapolis MD 21401
Main Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for the Anne Arundel County Department of Health's Supply/Purchasing Office. This position provides scheduling information for the contracted courier services and is responsible for delivering supplies within the Department. The position also provides backup support to the Vital Records and Records Management Office. The incumbent in this position must possess a valid Maryland driver's license, as duties include driving a county vehicle to make deliveries and pickup purchases.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies.
Notes: 1. Additional experience as stated above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired applicant should have experience with inventory and supply management and be able to lift 50 pounds or more to perform this job function.
