Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Social Media Management: Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram using a structured calendar; monitor public inquiries and track channel performance metrics.
- Graphic & Print Design: Design digital and print assets—including social graphics, flyers, brochures, event collateral, and infographics—using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva while ensuring strict brand consistency.
- Vendor & Print Coordination: Prepare press-ready artwork files and liaise with print vendors to oversee production and ensure timely delivery of print materials.
- Digital Accessibility & PDF Remediation: Ensure all digital assets and PDFs meet ADA and WCAG standards (using Adobe Acrobat Pro for tagging, alt text, and reading order) to guarantee public accessibility.
- Brand Asset Management & Collaboration: Maintain the agency’s central asset library (shared drives, templates, and brand files) and partner with internal teams to transform program information into public-facing content.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Five years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for- year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of at least two years of professional experience producing multi-channel communications, which must include hands-on experience using graphic design software (such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite or Canva) to design print and digital assets, conducting minor video editing, preparing print-ready files for vendors, and copywriting for promotional materials.
- Possession of at least two years of professional experience managing an organizational or government social media presence, including maintaining content calendars, analyzing performance metrics to inform strategy, and applying ADA/WCAG accessibility standards (including PDF remediation in Adobe Acrobat).
