LOCATION OF POSITION
POSITION DUTIES
. Overall management of
comprehensive volunteer program. Supervision of 1 Volunteer Activities
Coordinator and 1 Designee
. Manages and maintains database of
over 300 volunteers.
. Recruits, orientates and assigns
volunteers.
. Manages correspondence,
evaluation, discipline and termination of volunteers.
. Works closely with other
departments on volunteer needs.
. Coordinates student intern
program.
. Works with Administrative
Chaplain to plan annual volunteer appreciation breakfast.
. Monitors staff/volunteer
relationships.
. Makes presentations to community
groups to promote volunteer activities.
. Coordinates the acceptance and
distribution of donated materials and supplies.
. Produces departmental annual
report and departmental goals.
. Conducts additional volunteer
training.
. Produces and distributes Institutional
Volunteer Rosters.
. Produces Institutional entries
for volunteer programs.
. Ensure compliance with all department policies, to include sexual harassment and its specific requirement for management’s prompt and effective attention, reporting and response to such complaints.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
Experience coordinating programs, events and fund raising.
Experience recruiting, giving orientations and assigning positions.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
2. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete training and maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
