LOCATION OF POSITION
Maryland Department of Agriculture Headquarters - Annapolis, Maryland
POSITION DUTIES
Independently plan, schedule, review and prepare projects following required format and procedures for submission to the Board of Public Works (BPW) for approval.
Routinely monitor the status of and coordinate conservation projects and grant contracts with Soil Conservation Districts. This includes, but is not limited to, extension and cancellation requests, on-farm status reviews, and property transfers.
Prepare, review and track Notice to Title Examiners (Recordation) for submission to the Office of the Attorney General and County Clerk of Courts.
Coordinate and monitor Department website revisions to reflect the necessary Maryland Agricultural Water Quality Cost-Share (MACS) Manual updates and provide swift, reliable and sufficient responses to inquiries from all Soil Conservation Districts regarding the MACS program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Six years experience in administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours for each year of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess one or more of the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

Possession of a current Maryland Notary Public Commission

Experience utilizing integrated Microsoft products to develop data merges and form letters.

Experience developing statistical reports and standard office procedures or policies.
