Introduction
The Department of Natural Resources, Licensing & Registration Service, is currently accepting
applications for a Part- Time Contractual Licensing & Registration Lead Worker.

Main Purpose of Job
Under general supervision, this position functions as the Lead Worker in Public Services,
overseeing the service counter area and performing various customer service duties.
Public Services is the front line connection between the Department of Natural Resources
and its constituency.
Public Services is responsible for (1) sport hunting and fishing license sales, (2) vessel
registration, titling and excise tax collection, (3) commercial tidal fish license renewals and transfers, (4) the issuance of off-road vehicle permits, and (5) the licensing and monitoring of boat dealers and sport license agents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience involving titling and registering boats.
2. Experience issuing hunting and fishing licenses and permits.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
