POSITION DUTIES
This position is located within the Administrative Services Section of the Field Enforcement Bureau.
The incumbent will be responsible for administering the fiscal operations of the Bureau, function as the Bureau’s Human Resources Liaison and provide administrative support to the Director. The incumbent will prepare and submit the annual budget request to the Office of Administration and Finance, in addition to, preparing and submitting spending projections throughout the year as requested. The Incumbent will assist in the direction of the daily operations of the Bureau and will be responsible for the Bureau’s purchasing activities, soliciting vendor prices, and purchasing goods necessary for the efficient operation of the Bureau with the Corporate Purchasing Card (CPC). The Incumbent will review and approve invoices received from vendors and the Office of Administration and Finance. This position acts as Liaison with the Office of Human Resources regarding personnel transactions and will provide advice and guidance to FEB employees regarding HR related matters. The incumbent will Interpret and apply agency policies, rules, and regulations to accomplish the work of the Bureau, including acting as alternative security officer in the absence of the primary security officer, and as Sick Leave monitor. This position is responsible for coordinating the following for the Bureau: mobile devices, office telephones, parking passes, office maintenance, and other duties as assigned by the Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional work.
NOTES:
- Additional experience in administrative staff or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
- Additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.

evaluation service. If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.
- Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

This background check is comprehensive and may involve fingerprinting. Upon initial appointment OR promotion to a position in the State Personnel Management System, an employee is required to serve an initial six- month probationary period. This probationary period may be extended an additional six months under certain circumstances at the discretion of the appointing authority.
