Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to provide oversight and management as the Rehabilitation Services Program Manager for the Big G Building and coordinate the daily operation of services for the Library. This position will: maintain budgets for the Hair Salon, Medical Library and Patient Library; schedule space usage for certain areas; ensure all maintenance needs are maintained and completed; chair the Medical Library Committee and sit as a member of the Patient Family Education Committee; participate in the assessment and maintenance of compliance with the Joint Commission Hospital Accreditation Standards; complete quarterly Environment of Care rounds in designated areas; periodically and systematically review quality and appropriateness of total services delivered; and, maintain oversight of hair stylist contractual position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies.

Notes: 1. Additional experience as stated above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired applicant should have experience:

  • requesting supplies and maintaining inventory
  • maintaining records and preparing reports
  • organizing and completing multiple tasks, with close attention to detail
