Responsibilities
Reports to the Division Manager of Management and Budget. The incumbent will provide administrative and technical support to various areas such as budget, enterprise and internal service funds. Assists in the establishment of efficient management systems, budget development and preparation of statistical and performance reports. Monitors specific programs and prepares financial reports. Assists with defining budget and management problems which require effective verbal and written communication skills. Reviews personnel requisitions and the establishment of positions to provide analysis of operational efficiency and effectiveness. Must possess general knowledge of the scope of municipal government and the theories and practices of public administration. The incumbent is expected to interact with all levels of government and must use tact and discretion at all times and while maintaining strict confidentiality. The Management Analyst I will make presentations to staff, Management, the City Commission, and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Urban Studies Equivalencies;
OR
2. Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Public Administration or closely related field; OR
3. Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.) AND 4 years of experience as a Budget Systems Technician for the City of Dayton AND 24 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) units from the Government Financial Officers Association.
Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities or equivalent region.
License Requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license at time of appointment and maintain as a term and condition of employment.

Background Check
A background investigation and evidence of Employment Authorization and Identity is required prior to employment. Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a job-related medical examination including drug screen.
