The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) is actively seeking Academic Subjects Substitute Teachers!

CTECS operates 17 diploma-granting technical high schools, one technical education center and two airframe mechanics and aircraft maintenance programs. Substituting in the academic subjects:

Substitute academic applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and must submit to required DCF and criminal background checks. You will be required to submit either a copy of your degree or unofficial transcript.

PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System this class is accountable for educating students in academic and trade coursework in the absence of a regular instructor.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Substituting in the academic subjects:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
