The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health (DPH) is hiring! We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Health Program Supervisor to oversee two federal grants that support heart disease and diabetes initiatives and Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias strategic planning efforts.
This Health Program Supervisor position will be responsible for providing direct supervision to professional staff responsible for heart disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia prevention programs, overseeing and managing all aspects of planning, implementation, and reporting for grant initiatives, including work plan and budget development, and collaboration with statewide partners. Additional responsibilities will include representing the Department on legislatively mandated health committees, project management for grant awards, participation in health-related learning collaboratives, and assisting with grant application development.

One (1) year of the General Experience must have been at the advanced working level in health care program administration, a health systems agency or other health care organization in at least one of the following areas:
1. grant writing or monitoring;
2. formal program planning, development, management or evaluation;
3. or program consultation.
For State Employees this is interpreted at the level of Health Program Associate.
Note: A health care organization is defined as a large multi-dimensional agency with responsibility for developing health programs.
