The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health (DPH) is hiring! We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Health Program Associate. This position will work within the Department of Public Health's Office of Public Health Systems and Equity.
This Health Program Associate position will plan, coordinate, and lead activities related to the Department’s Covid disparities initiative. In particular, this Health Program Associate will support the work of the Health Equity Metrics Alliance and State Health Improvement Plan Coalition. The activities cut across many sectors and include engaging with multiple community and state agency partners to ensure programmatic alignment in addressing Covid related disparities. The Health Program Associate will provide administrative and programmatic support by tracking coalition and contractor activities and deliverables, monitoring program performance, serving as liaison with DPH fiscal and contracts staff, and assisting in the compilation of progress reports related to grant activities.

The work schedule for this position is typically Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week. There is some opportunity for a partial telework schedule (up to 50% of scheduled hours).
Please Note: This position is grant funded with an anticipated end date of May 31, 2023 and the ability to be extended as needed.

One (1) year of the General Experience must have been in health care program administration, a health systems agency or other health care organization in at least one of the following areas:
1. grant writing or monitoring;
2. formal program planning, development, management or evaluation;
3. or program consultation.
For State Employees this is interpreted at the level of Health Program Assistant 2.
Note: A health care organization is defined as a large multi-dimensional agency with responsibility for developing health programs.
