DOL has opportunities for Connecticut Careers Trainees (CCT), Target Class-LD Community Services Representative for the Central Office Claims Office unit in Wethersfield, CT. These positions receive training in introductory governmental work for development of skills and knowledge in order to qualify for advancement to the target class. The CCT performs a variety of increasingly difficult duties as skills are acquired during the course of the training period.
These positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

This specific CCT/CSR position will:
Process New Initial Unemployment Claims
Process Additional Unemployment Claims
Process Continued Unemployment Claims
Review and Process Online Assistance Center Requests
Perform Customer Call-Backs, Answer Emails and Respond to Complaints
Perform Live Chats
UI Help At Front Desk In Local Office As Needed – peak periods
Fee For Service Requests For Information
Web Help- Answer Inquiries And Direct to Appropriate Units
Oral and written communication skills; ability to acquire knowledge and skills required for the target classification; ability to understand, evaluate and solve problems by exercising judgement and logic; ability to read, interpret and understand written material; ability to perform basic arithmetical computations; ability to interpret charts, graphs and tables; learning and reasoning ability; ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with superiors, associates and general public; ability to utilize computer software.
Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
