The State of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles is recruiting for a part time Maintainer position located in Danbury, CT. The Maintainer position is very diverse; the candidate will learn all aspects of DMV processes, from dealing with all types of license plates, all types of forms, etc. The selected candidate will be responsible for custodial work as well as performing minor maintenance repairs and using a computer for inventory purposes. This part-time position is 34 hours per week and the schedule will be from Tuesday-Friday 6am to 1:30pm, Saturday 6am to 12:30pm.
*The entry level rate for this class will be ten (10%) percent below Step 1 of the salary grade. Upon completion of the initial working test period, the incumbent's salary will be adjusted to the TC pay plan, Step 1 of the salary grade for this class.

In a state agency this class is accountable for performing basic tasks of an unskilled nature (e.g. requiring little prior experience or training; most tasks can be learned quickly on the job) in one or several of the following areas:

- operation of trucks of less than five ton capacity
- parking garage
