Fire Equipment Services Manager

This
is an administrative, technical, and supervisory position directing the work of
three Fire Equipment Technicians to ensure the timely maintenance, repair, safety
and functionality of fire department equipment.
Including self-contained breathing apparatus, dive equipment, thermal
imaging cameras, rescue tools, chain saws, ventilation saws, fire service
ladders, fire hose, nozzles, hydraulic rescue tools, scene lighting,
firefighter protective clothing and various lawn maintenance equipment.
Establishes work team priorities based on daily needs and preventive maintenance schedules. Works with vendors to complete the purchase of equipment and supplies. Serves on the equipment committee and performs equipment evaluations and makes recommendations for purchases. Ensures that specialized firefighting and life safety equipment is maintained in accordance with recognized standards and that fire apparatus are properly equipped with safe and reliable equipment.
Provides supervision and coordination of the day-to-day equipment maintenance responsibilities of the Logistics Division

This position supervises 2-3 Fire Equipment
Technicians, completes PRD’s and approves leave.
Provides oversight and training of Fire
Equipment Technicians to ensure that all positions are cross trained and
capable of providing backup support and assistance for each other.

High School Diploma or Equivalent years of experience working as a Facilities Services Coordinator or similar capacity.
