Summary

This position functions within the Logistics area of the Aviation’s Facilities Department.  A well-rounded individual with experience in a fast-paced warehouse/storeroom environment is essential.

The role requires the individual to serve many different functions in the Logistics area and a variety of essential knowledge, skill, and capabilities. The operation of motorized warehouse forklift equipment, computer based inventory and work order systems, and radio based call systems for maintenance work orders is necessary to perform this role successfully.

General Information
Certain criminal convictions will disqualify individuals from unescorted access privileges and therefore impact on ability to employ or retain employment.
Valid driver’s license with no more than 6 points and ability to obtain and maintain City driving permit.
Standard shift hours apply.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

To operate motorized warehouse equipment necessary for the receiving, storing, and issuing of Aviation maintenance parts and materials
To operate Cityworks storeroom computer-based inventory system for maintaining inventory records of materials and parts
To operate the Logistics area phone center for the distribution of Airport maintenance requests.
Other Logistics assignments as required.

Preferred Qualification

Previous working experience in a storeroom or warehouse work environment utilizing various inventory methods, including the use of computerized work and inventory systems.
The operation of standup and sit-down warehouse equipment.
Experience working in a maintenance-based call center 

Minimum Qualifications

High School Graduate or Equivalent

Final candidates must pass a pre-employment drug-screening test and physical examination. During the selection process, candidates may be asked to take a skills test, and/or participate in other assessments.
