The Tucson Police Department is seeking an experienced professional to lead the Data Management Unit, serving in the role of Analysis Supervisor. This professional-staff (civilian) position will help grow the Department’s data management and business information capabilities. Successful applicants will be able to produce and manage enterprise-level data warehouse projects, develop current and future team members, and practice a commitment to collaboration, transparency, and accountability.

Supervises and implements administrative and management functions and activities related to advance research and analysis projects.
Supervises and coordinates the equivalent of two or more full time employees and all assigned work.
Minimum Education Level & Type: Bachelor’s Degree
An extensive understanding of data management systems and a demonstrated proficiency with structured query language (SQL).
A commitment to fostering a creative and welcoming work environment.
Experience with dashboards and presenting data visually using: Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau. Experience with coding, including C#, C++, JavaScript.
Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to convey complex materials to non-technical stakeholders.

Upon completion of all examination processes, the highest scoring applicants will be placed on the Civil Service Employment List. An applicant's ranking on the Civil Service list will be based on their final score which will be calculated as:
This recruitment will establish a civil service list that will be utilized to fill vacancies occurring within the next 6 months.
The highest scoring candidates placed on the Civil Service Employment List may be invited to participate in a selection interview. Top 10 candidates will be invited to selection interviews. If candidates are invited to the selection interview, they will be asked to participate via Microsoft Teams.
Veterans, Native American, or Disability preference points will be added to the final score for those that are placed on the Civil Service Employment List. The following information pertains to driving requirements for this classification with the City of Tucson. Under "Driving Level" None, Secondary or Primary, refers to the driving responsibility as it relates to the essential functions of the classification. License Type, is just that, the type of Arizona Driving License required for the classification. If the position requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), the endorsements will be listed under "Endorsements." Under Safety Sensitive a "Yes" means employees with this classification are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. License Type A,B,C,D,or M may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. Exceptions to classification driving requirement's may exist based on position.
