To remain eligible, you must maintain your permanent or probationary Civil Service employment status through the actual date of transfer. If you are not a current permanent or probationary Civil Service employee at the date of transfer, you will not be eligible for this position. Non-permanent, interns, or appointed employees are not eligible.
The Eligibility List may be used by Human Resources to fill vacancies in this classification in the next 6 months. Selection will be made in accordance with CSR III, Section 2. The list of employees eligible for consideration will remain in effect for 6 months. Examination results and current status will be communicated by email.
The City of Tucson Human Resources Department is seeking qualified, detail oriented and dedicated HR professionals to fill vacancies at our Tucson Police Department (TPD) Satellite Unit, and the new BSD-IT Satellite. Each unit is a fast paced and high volume work environment. The ideal candidates will become a resource for the HR Satellites and department employees in the areas of recruitment, employee leaves, employee relations, records, discipline, special projects, safety and payroll.
The essential duties include but are not limited to:
Minimum Education Level & Type: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience Qualifications: At least 5 years experience in Human Resources, Benefits, and/or a related field
Valid and Unrestricted D - Driver's License
An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.

Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be evaluated on the education and work experience in their employment profile and the responses to their supplemental questions. The highest scoring applicants will then be invited to participate in a virtual Teams Oral Board interview.
Upon completion of all examination processes, the highest scoring applicants will be placed on the Civil Service Employment List. An applicant's ranking on the Civil Service list will be based on their final score which will be calculated as:
This recruitment will establish a Civil Service List that may be utilized to fill vacancies occurring in Human Resources within the next 6 months. Post list hiring interviews may be conducted prior to final selections.
