The Information Technology Department is seeking a dynamic
team leader for an exciting opportunity as a Lead Systems Analyst. This
position requires strong leadership skills along with well-rounded enterprise
level application support and development experience. The ideal candidate
will have strong technical, analytical and communication skills bridging the
gap between business rule analysis and solution delivery.
Designs, develops, and programs
systems operations, and manages projects for the computer resolution of
business problems at an Enterprise Level. This position communicates with other
City departments as well as outside contacts to discuss relevant data and
information.
Mentor one or more Application Programmer I or II
positions. Leads a development team. Contribute technical reviews to staff's
annual evaluations.
Analyze/identify business and system
requirements, including systems integrations. Create designs, establish
workflows, and write documentation; Lead and manage development and
deliverable's; Test and launch; Write scripts and code language to design and
develop programs; Create transfer packages and data processing using
integration services; Implement systems automation.
Manage applications usability and
security by analyzing and implement new functionality for optimization;
Research issues and errors and work to achieve resolutions; Install and
configure MS SQL server components; Develop server maintenance and database
backup plans; Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, security,
performance tuning, and troubleshooting for servers and systems.
Monitor and analyze applications and
systems data for integrity and normalization; Map data and conversions between
systems; Resolve data quality inequities. Perform backups and data recovery.
Provide oversight of teams and
project areas to consider budget impacts; periodically review and discuss with
leadership team; Manage and report financial performance and cost or risk
associated with projects.
Provide support to users. Create and
manage database and application users and user roles. Provide customer service
and support to all users of systems and applications; Prepare and provide
end-user training; Provide information to team members and leaders; Assist team
members in resolving issues.
Upon completion of all examination processes, the highest scoring applicants will be placed on the Civil Service Employment List. An applicant's ranking on the Civil Service list will be based on their final score which will be calculated as:
