Conducts instruction in a specialized area in connection with the fee instruction program offered to the public by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Plans class instructional activities or general camp activities such as games, theme activities or field trips; prepares a course outline or a bi-weekly schedule and a list or lists of necessary course materials for class participants; schedules guest artists or speakers.
Supervises the activities of program participants to ensure participant safety during the instructional process; follows appropriate emergency procedures to protect the well-being of participants.
Assists in ensuring the general security and maintenance of Parks and Recreation facilities and equipment; inventories equipment.
Adheres to applicable Parks and Recreation procedures, rules and regulations; completes required forms and activity records and reports; communicates with the parents of school age participants, as needed.
Obtains and evaluates participant feedback regarding the effectiveness of the instructional process and the success of the program activity.

Under Safety Sensitive a "Yes" means employees with this classification are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. License Type A,B,C,D,or M may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. Exceptions to classification driving requirement's may exist based on position.
