General Description

Prepares, cooks and serves short-order foods and beverages to patrons of food and beverage facilities of the Parks and Recreation Department. Keeps records and orders food supplies.

Essential Functions

Prepares, cooks, and portions all foods served requiring short-time preparation.

Orders or requisitions food and supplies and maintains records of stock on hand and cost of supplies.

Maintains clean and attractive work areas in compliance with City and County health and sanitation regulations for Class A establishments.

May serve patrons over the counter; collects and accounts for money received for food dispensed.

Prepares beverages such as coffee and tea.

Cleans kitchen utensils and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education Level & Type: Less than High School

Minimum Experience Qualifications: At least 1 year experience in food preparation in Class A facility

Driving Requirements

License Type A,B,C,D,or M may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. Exceptions to classification driving requirement's may exist based on position.
