Regularly directs or supervises the work of at least two fulltime employees.
Manages warehouse activities by developing and implementing work procedures, resolving operational problems, distributing and modifying purchase orders, ensuring the accuracy and completion of documentation, authorizing the destruction of expired records and supervising delivery schedules and procedures.
Manages, coordinates, and determines priorities of work load, monitoring levels of resources, establishing time lines, assigning work, monitoring progress, recommending changes and suggestions, writing, reviewing and editing reports prepared by staff, and approving completed projects and reports.
Manages inventory by posting and correcting requisitions, researching goods, services and vendors, adding and removing items from inventories, ensuring contracts are correct monitoring and verifying interface information in the computer system, contracting vendors for delivery and arranging for alternate vendors.
Reviews performance of inventory stock items and determines value of stocking.
Communicates with the contract officers to establish Blanket contracts to prepare requisitions, and Purchase orders.
Reviews ongoing operations of Inventory, Surplus and Auction to facilitate recommendations for changes to improve procedures.
Processes and researches overdue invoices for payment by researching stock, special order invoices, purchase order files and supply requests, authorizing payments and resolving differences.
Verifies all auction sales and pick-ups using Auction Receipts.
Performs administrator functions for the Public Surplus Auction website.
Maintains log of Federal Firearm Licensees' for Gun Auctions.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Minimum Education Level & Type: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum Experience Qualifications: At least 4 years materials management experience in a warehouse environment which includes at least 12 months performing electronic or live auction functions

The following information pertains to driving requirements for this classification with the City of Tucson. License Type, is just that, the type of Arizona Driving License required for the classification. If the position requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), the endorsements will be listed under "Endorsements." Under Safety Sensitive a "Yes" means employees with this classification are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. License Type A,B,C,D,or M may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. Exceptions to classification driving requirement's may exist based on position.
