ENTERPRISE RISK ANALYST (#0328)

General Description

This position provides support to Enterprise Risk Management ensuring compliance with established city policies and procedures, federal guidelines, industry standards and best practices. This position is responsible for collaborating with department managers to facilitate the identification of risk, analyze potential risk exposures, propose risk mitigation solutions, generate reports on the status of risk components and programs and develop risk methodologies for assessment throughout the City.

Essential Functions

Manages the enterprise wide risk management program, including risk identification, analyses, prioritization, mitigation, monitoring and recommendations to management

Provides data analysis, including expert knowledge and use of technology to include a Risk Management Information System (RMIS)

Researches and compiles a variety of data and information

Supports effectively acquisition integration and management of data into the RMIS related to total cost of risk

Assists with collection and review of exposure information

Designs and develops automated processes for risk analytics and technical reporting

Prepares and creates a variety of reports communicating key operating data, risk metrics, exposures

Provides instruction, direction, and technical assistance to departments as required for data analysis and reporting development
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Any one position may not include all of the duties listed. This job classification specification identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education Level & Type: Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Management or operational experience relevant functional area to include safety and health and environmental programs

Driving Requirements

The following information pertains to driving requirements for this classification with the City of Tucson. Under "Driving Level" None, Secondary or Primary, refers to the driving responsibility as it relates to the essential functions of the classification. License Type, is just that, the type of Arizona Driving License required for the classification. If the position requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), the endorsements will be listed under "Endorsements." Under Safety Sensitive a "Yes" means employees with this classification are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. License Type A,B,C,D,or M may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. Exceptions to classification driving requirement's may exist based on position.
