Occasionally directs helpers, assistants, seasonal employees, interns, volunteers or temporary employees and may temporarily act in a higher capacity.
Inspects and assists in insuring the correctness and accuracy of printed ballots and coordinates ballot distribution and collection processes; assists in processing and safeguarding election ballots and returns and assures adherence to official procedures and legal regulations.
Orders and prepares election supplies, materials, and equipment to maintain prescribed election timetables.
Assists in logistical planning, the distribution of voting equipment and materials, and in polling place preparation.
Assists in coordinating the tabulation, updating, verification and distribution of ward maps and computerized registration rolls in accordance with established precinct boundaries.
Assists in training election personnel including City employees and volunteers in election processes, procedures, and regulations.
Assists in coordinating the assembly of information and the publishing of required bilingual documents.
Assists in coordinating, transferring, securing, and storing election equipment; assists in supervising the assembly, verification and repair of voting equipment.
Resolves operation problems as they occur and assists in determining work load and personnel requirements.
Responds to requests for information regarding election processes and regulations, prepares reports and evaluative summaries of election activities, tabulates data and provides statistical information in regard to election activities, as required.
Minimum Education Level & Type: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

The following information pertains to driving requirements for this classification with the City of Tucson. Under "Driving Level" None, Secondary or Primary, refers to the driving responsibility as it relates to the essential functions of the classification. License Type, is just that, the type of Arizona Driving License required for the classification. If the position requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), the endorsements will be listed under "Endorsements." Under Safety Sensitive a "Yes" means employees with this classification are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. License Type A,B,C,D,or M may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. Exceptions to classification driving requirement's may exist based on position.
