Provides clerical support by setting up files for court, locating files for daily court dockets, reviewing, recording, sorting and distributing files after court, attaching minute entries, maintaining library files, copying audio and video tapes for disclosure, ensuring proper disposal of closed cases and maintenance of probation files and other computer data entry work.
Supports various court sections by entering data regarding court arraignments, scheduling, and compliance with court ordered sanctions into the court's automated case management system.
Records, receipts, and disburses various monies collected by the court in the form of fines, fees, restitution, and bonds.
Sets, logs and notifies appropriate parties regarding hearings for motions, evidentiary motions, office schedules, orders of protection, and injunctions against harassment.
Provides customer service by answering phones and forwarding calls, responding to in-person and telephone inquiries, explaining procedures, assisting with forms, providing police reports and notary assistance with misdemeanor compromises, forwarding cases to the office prosecutor as necessary, and notarizing various legal and court documents.
Performs related duties by using the court computer program to create face sheets, run cases for priors and MVD/NCIC checks, to record officer's hearing dates, to assist the public, and to locate files for upcoming court hearings, using computer programs to notify victims, prepare subpoenas and long forms, order reports, photos and evidence, log disposed cases, and maintain diversion records.
Minimum Education Level & Type: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum Experience Qualifications: Under 1 year administrative support, confidential information handling and/or customer service, preferably in a court setting or as a paralegal.

The following information pertains to driving requirements for this classification with the City of Tucson. Under "Driving Level" None, Secondary or Primary, refers to the driving responsibility as it relates to the essential functions of the classification. License Type, is just that, the type of Arizona Driving License required for the classification. If the position requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), the endorsements will be listed under "Endorsements." Under Safety Sensitive a "Yes" means employees with this classification are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. License Type A,B,C,D,or M may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. Exceptions to classification driving requirement's may exist based on position.
