Receives, inspects, and catalogs incoming technology equipment including computers, servers, networking equipment, software, peripherals, and mobile devices. Assigns asset tags, updates inventory management systems, and verifies specifications against purchase orders and procurement documentation.
Inspects equipment for damage, completeness, and compliance with specifications.
Documents quality issues and coordinates returns or replacements for defective equipment. Manages physical storage, organization, and security of technology assets in warehouse facilities.
Implement proper storage protocols and maintain optimal warehouse
layout for efficient operations.
Maintains accurate real-time inventory records in asset management systems.
Conducts regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories, reconciling discrepancies and investigating variances.
Ensure environmental controls and security measures are maintained according to CJIS requirements.
Coordinates equipment issuance and prepares technology for deployment including basic configuration and testing.
Maintains records of asset assignments, transfers, returns, and exchanges.
Tracks assets throughout their lifecycle from acquisition through disposal.
Identifies equipment eligible for refresh, repair, or retirement.
Manages proper disposal of obsolete or damaged equipment in accordance with environmental and security regulations.
Interfaces with technology vendors for deliveries, returns, warranty claims, and service issues.
Generates inventory reports and maintains
audit trails for all asset movements.
Considerable knowledge of: technology hardware (computers, servers, networking equipment, peripherals), asset management, inventory control systems, and warehouse management practices.
Working knowledge of: CJIS security protocols, technology procurement processes, asset tagging methodologies, and technology lifecycle management.
Ability to: maintain accurate inventory records, operate warehouse equipment,
use computerized inventory systems, communicate effectively with vendors and
departments, and work independently with minimal supervision.
