The
Police Traffic Camera Review Analyst is responsible for monitoring and
reviewing the violation queues of both the Red-Light Camera Program and the
School Zone Speed Safety Program.
Understanding of the Red-Light Camera
System and F.S.S. 316.0083.
Understanding of
the School Zone Safety Program and F.S.S. 316.1896.
Communicates with the public and can answer questions and
provide information related to the Red-Light Camera System and the School Zone
Safety Program.
Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review, or modify
data; verifies accuracy of entered data and makes corrections; utilizes word
processing, database, or other programs.
Interacts regularly with the leadership team regarding team
performance, strategy, metrics, and results.
Prepares reports and correspondence when required.
Attend and testify, when
required, at city and county traffic hearings.
Performs general clerical tasks, which may include
answering telephone calls, entering data into a computer, making copies,
sending/receiving faxes, filing documentation, preparing outgoing
mail/packages, or receiving incoming mail.
Performs other duties as assigned and related work as
required.
Extensive knowledge of: Traffic law enforcement and Florida State Statutes as they relate to traffic enforcement. Court proceedings and how city hearings operate.
Considerable knowledge of: Office and team dynamics; interpersonal communication; chain of command style leadership.
Ability to: plan work, organize tasks; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and the public; prepare and present clear and concise reports both orally and in writing; maintain records using a variety of source materials; understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; testify in hearings; adapt to developed software for future technology as required by the job.
Skill
in: problem
solving; oral and written communications; Microsoft Office and Excel.
A bachelor’s degree from
an accredited college or university in criminal justice, criminology, public
safety or related field, and five (5) years of experience in a law enforcement
environment as an analyst, law enforcement officer or investigator.

An equivalent combination of education (not less than possession of a high school diploma/GED), training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above.
