Job Introduction
This
is technical account administration related work.
Nature Of Work
Employees
are responsible for various technical tasks of average difficulty associated
with managing network and application accounts for employees, contractors, and
vendors. Work performed requires knowledge of security administration
practices. Reasonable initiative and independent judgment are required in
completing assigned tasks, and meeting time constraints. Employees are expected
to review and verify all finished work for accuracy, completeness, and
compliance with organizational standards. Position requires proficiency in keyboarding,
use of computer equipment and software. Considerable tact and courtesy are
required during routine interface with all City departments, vendors, and
numerous application system owners. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon
completion through discussions and reports submitted.
Examples of Duties
Provision, modify, and
deactivate user accounts and groups across various systems and applications.
Ensure
revocation of access upon separation or leave of absence.
Oversee
automated processes and workflows.
Manage user permissions and security groups to
ensure proper access to secure network folders.
M365
administrative related tasks across Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
Route,
process, and maintain authorization forms for access to municipal applications.
Participate
in compliance related periodic system reviews.
Respond
to audit requests.
Performs
related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of: municipal organization,
programs and policies, computer applications including Microsoft Office, user
permission and access control administration, administration of directory,
identity and email access systems.
Ability to: effectively prioritize and
execute tasks. Monitor automated systems and take corrective action when
required. Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail.
Skill
in: use
of standard office equipment and computers.
Physical Requirements
Mostly
sedentary, indoors, requires extended use of computer, typing and viewing
monitor.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or
university with a Bachelor’s degree with appropriate computer related
coursework and six (6) months experience working with personal computers, basic
networking, or technical customer support.
OR
An equivalent combination of education (not
less than possession of a high school diploma/GED), related training and
experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related
competencies noted above.
Licenses or Certifications
Possession
of a valid Florida driver's license may be required.
Examination
Evaluation of education and
experience. Drug testing is included in all pre-employment processing.
Comments
Employees may be required to work rotating shifts, including
nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. During periods when the
Mayor issues an emergency declaration for the City of Tampa, all employees may
be required to work in preparation, response or recovery activities related to
the stated emergency.
