The Solano County Sheriff's Office invites your application for the Animal Care Manager position.
The Animal Care Manager manages, plans, organizes, coordinates, the shelter and animal control activities with the primary objective of the humane care, treatment, and control of animals. The incumbent also serves as a member of the Sheriff’s Office senior management team.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be a service-oriented animal care professional with a proven track record in organizing and directing animal shelter and control operations, promoting community engagement and implementing lifesaving animal care programs.
The primary responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: Four (4) years of experience performing animal shelter and/or animal control agency, a Humane Society, and/or a veterinary clinic, including two (2) years performing program management and/or supervisory responsibility in a city, county or related animal services agency. AND
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required, preferably in Animal Management, Animal Science, Biological Sciences, Business administration, or Public Administration or related.
