Introduction

This examination is being conducted to fill one (1) vacancy in the Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department and to establish an eligible list which may be used to fill future vacancies.

The Equipment Maintenance Foreman supervises the maintenance work of the Public Works Fleet Division or Solid Waste Division. The Foreman is responsible for the supervision of maintenance work by Fleet or Solid Waste staff, the inspection and upkeep of equipment, and the development of repair schedules and preventive maintenance programs. The Foreman stays informed of manufacturer specs and, as a resource to mechanics, inform mechanics of changes in maintenance and repair procedures.
