In order to qualify for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications for either Pattern I or Pattern II.

PATTERN I: Requires two years as a Crime Analyst in San Joaquin County Service.

PATTERN II Requires that you meet the following minimum qualifications. 

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, criminal justice, mathematics, management information systems or a related field.

In the space provided below, identify the college you graduated from, type of degree obtained, and major.

AND

Experience: Four years of analytical or operations work experience in a law enforcement agency, including at least three years in a crime analysis unit with responsibility for gathering, compiling and reporting on crime statistics.

You may utilize the following substitution patterns to meet the above Education and Experience requirements.

1) Possession of a Crime and Intelligence Analyst Certificate Issued by the State of California Department of Justice may substitute for two years of the education.

2) Additional qualifying crime analysis experience may substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years.
