PATTERN II

Do you possess three years of full-time, paid responsible general clerical or office technical work experience, one year of which must have been in a California Elections office functioning at the journey level?

PATTERN III

To qualify under PATTERN III, you must possess 30 semester units at an accredited college with major course work in computer science, information systems, or a related field, including at least 24 units in computer science.   Please provide:

  • Total number of units completed
  • List of computer science courses completed and the number of units for each course
 

Additionally, under PATTERN III, you must have two years of full-time, paid experience in mapping or technician work related to maintaining detailed inter-related mapping systems in a Geographic Information Systems environment.  For this work experience, please provide:

  • Name of employer;
  • Dates of employment;
  • Number of hours worked per week;
  • A detailed description of the specific job duties performed

Substitution:  Completion of 60 semester/90 quarter units at an accredited college/university in any of the above listed academic areas may substitute for one year of the above-required experience.  Please provide:

  • Name of college/unversity attended;
  • Number of unit completed;
  • Academic areas/major that units were completed

Some of the duties typical of this position will integrate voter registration/election management information with geographic analysis. 

Please list any computer programs or databases you are familiar with related to election information management or geographic information management.  Include your level of experience.

Successful incumbents often have additional technical skills related to graphic/web design. This could include Adobe tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or Dreamweaver; Microsoft tools such Visio, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word or Excel; and/or web design markup languages such as HTML, XML, etc.

While these are not requirements of the position, please provide:
