Please describe your work experience and how it will help you contribute to SFERS’ Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Investing Initiatives.

SFERS has a commitment to incorporating ESG considerations into its external manager selection process, proxy voting decisions, and other activities. In your view, what is the necessity and value of considering ESG issues for an institutional asset owner such as SFERS.

Discuss three current challenges with incorporating ESG considerations into the investment decision making process for institutional asset owners. What would be your process to identify solutions for SFERS to pursue in order to overcome these challenges?

Investment risks around climate change are a consideration for SFERS. Discuss the various risks and opportunities that climate change creates for institutional investors like SFERS. Discuss your view of the best way to manage downside risks and take advantage of upside opportunities presented by climate change.    

5.

The ESG Analyst role will involve research and writing detailed memoranda on ESG thematic areas, ESG due diligence on investment managers, public policy analysis, and other matters. This may involve use of quantitative analytical tools/databases. Briefly describe your professional experience conducting data-driven research and preparing written reports.
