SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE (SQ) INSTRUCTIONS:The purpose of this SQ is to describe your training and experience as they relate to the knowledge, skills, and abilities linked to the essential functions of this 5298 Planner III - Environmental Review position (please refer to the job announcement for more detailed information).
Questions A through C will be used to determine possession of minimum qualifications.
Questions 1 through 3 will be evaluated and scored. Only the information you provide in your answers to these questions will be evaluated to determine your score in the selection process for this position. Provide all the information requested even if it may appear redundant. Attachments or additional documents such as resumes, cover letters, links to publications or employment applications will NOT be considered (i.e. Writing ‘see resume’ or ’N/A’ is not a sufficient response for questions 1 through 4.
The SQ will be presented to an expert review panel for an assessment and will be used as part of the examination process to determine candidates' score and rank on the eligible list. This SQ will account for 100% of the total weight of the candidates’ final score. Insufficient or non-responsive answers and/or answers that are plagiarized or have falsified information may result in disqualification from the recruitment process.

Describe your experience managing, coordinating, or participating in the preparation of CEQA environmental review documents and related technical studies for major projects. Demonstrate the complexity of the projects and the breadth and depth of your experiences (i.e., identify the number and type of projects and your role on these projects).

Based on your job experiences, describe 1-2 projects that you have worked on that are most notable for the complexity of their environmental review. In your response, include a description of the key resource areas which were analyzed in these documents (e.g. air quality, noise, cultural resources, etc.), the identified impacts and mitigation measures and if relevant, how the analysis reflected the interrelationships of various resource areas. Indicate what were the most challenging aspects of the project(s) and how you resolved them.

Based on your job experiences, describe the major challenges you have encountered when managing consultants, coordinating staff, or contributing to several CEQA projects at the same time . In your response provide specific examples of your experience facing these challenges and discuss any procedures that you have employed or recommended to handle the challenges.
