The purpose of this examination is to assess your knowledge, skills, and abilities in job related areas identified as critical for performance in this position. The quality of your responses may account for 60% of the total weight of your final score on the eligible list.

A passing score must be achieved on the examination in order to continue in the recruitment process. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list score report in rank order according to their final combined score.

Describe your experience in procuring professional services and construction contracts for infrastructure capital projects. In your answer, include the following:

  • Your role and responsibilities
  • The impact the procurement had on the organization and how it helped achieve measurable goals

Describe your experience in field construction and coordinating water or power projects with multiple funding sources.  These projects may include electrical substations/switchyards, powerhouses, power transmission/distribution lines, water conveyance, dams and reservoirs, etc.  In your answer, include the following:

  • Your role and responsibilities
  • A description of the projects and the key strategies or methods you used to coordinate the work and project resources.
  • The strategies and methods you used to ensure the projects were on track.
  • The strategies you used to monitor the multi-funding sources and the methods you used to ensure you were within budget and compliance.
