There are two sections to the Supplemental Questionnaire.  Section 1 (Question #1 to #5) is designed to assess your qualifications to determine whether you meet the minimum qualifications for this position.  Section 2 (Question #6 to #10) is designed to assess your knowledge, skills, and abilities in job related areas identified as critical for performance in this position.  Section 2 will be scored and may account for 100% of your final score on the eligible list score report.

The Supplemental Questionnaire Examination must be submitted with your application by the final filing date. This examination does not substitute for the online application. 

The purpose of this examination is to assess your knowledge, skills, and abilities in job related areas identified as critical for performance in this position. The quality of your responses may account for 100% of the total weight of your final score on the eligible list score report.

A passing score must be achieved on the examination in order to continue in the recruitment process. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list score report in rank order according to their final combined score.

Panel members involved in the rating process will NOT have access to your application and resume, so it is important that you are thorough and complete. Please describe your experience with successfully negotiating environmental and/or regulatory permits and in communicating with local, state, and federal agencies regarding permitting and regulatory compliance.  In your response, describe your role and the principles and techniques of successful permitting practices you have used.

Please describe your experience with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis and documentation.  In your response, describe the processes and techniques you have employed to analyze complex plans or projects and disclose potential impacts to decision-makers and the public. 

Please describe your specific experience in effectively communicating information on complex environmental and regulatory planning and compliance issues to diverse groups of people, such as laborers, consultants, managers and other decision makers, and the general public. Describe methods and techniques you used for effective two-way communication on complex issues.

Please describe your professional experience working with multidisciplinary teams and staff members from different background, and with varying interests and needs to complete a project.
