Part One: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

INSTRUCTIONS FOR QUESTIONS #1 - #8: The purpose of the Minimum Qualification Supplemental Questionnaire is to assess whether the applicant meets the minimum qualifications for the classification. The information provided must be consistent with the information on your application and is subject to verification.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Public Administration or closely related field; AND

Experience:  Five (5) years of progressively responsible and complex experience in accounting, budgeting, finance, or fiscal management in a government environment.  Qualifying experience must include at least three (3) years supervising finance or accounting professionals.

Education Substitution:  Additional qualifying work experience in accounting, budgeting, finance, or fiscal management in a government environment may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis for up to two (2) years.  (One year of work experience is equal to 30 semester or 45 quarter units).  

Experience Substitution:  Possession of a Master's degree in accounting, business administration, finance or public administration or closely related field may be substituted for one year of work experience (but may not substitute for the required supervisory experience).
