There are two sections to the Supplemental Questionnaire.  Section 1 (Question A to E) is designed to assess your qualifications to determine whether you meet the minimum qualifications for this position.  Section 2 (Question #1 to #6) is designed to assess your knowledge, skills, and abilities in job related areas identified as critical for performance in this position.  Section 2 will be scored and may account for 100% of your final score on the eligible list score report.

All applicants are required to complete the following Supplemental Questionnaire Examination as part of the selection procedures. The Supplemental Questionnaire Examination must be submitted with your application by the final filing date. This examination does not substitute for the online application.

The purpose of this examination is to assess your knowledge, skills, and abilities in job related areas identified as critical for performance in this position. The quality of your responses will account for 100% of your score on the eligible list score report.

A passing score must be achieved on the examination in order to continue in the recruitment process. Successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list score report in rank order according to their final combined score.

Please note: All relevant experience, education and/or training must be included in the spaces provided in order to be reviewed in the rating process. Panel members involved in the rating process will NOT have access to your application and resume, so it is important that you are thorough and complete. Your written communication skills will also be evaluated based on your responses.

Please describe your educational and professional experience with Geographic Information System (GIS). What kind of applications did you utilize and who did you support? (400 words max)

Describe your professional experience using each component of ESRI’s ArcGIS suite. In your response, please include specific details on publishing ESRI services, creating, deploying, maintaining mobile, and desktop applications to view these services. (400 words max)

Please describe your professional experience gathering information from a diverse set of stakeholders in a variety of formats, both digital and hard copy, in order to create, maintain and update GIS basemap of assets. Be specific as to the stakeholders and data formats you worked with. In your answer, please include your experience converting data from AutoCAD and if you have any experience working with water related assets such as water transmission lines, appurtenances, valves, service connections. (400 words max)

Describe your experience building, maintaining and expanding geodatabases using ESRI applications. What types of ESRI geodatabases did you use? Include and detail experience with advanced geodatabase functions such as topology, relate tables, linear referencing? Also include any experience you have using scripts are models to automate geoprocessing tasks, particularly regarding data conversion. (400 words max)

Describe your experience integrating a GIS system with other enterprise systems, such as document management and CMMS (asset management). Be specific about which CMMS and document management systems you worked with. What was your role in integrating these systems? (400 words max)
