SENIOR ENGINEERING ASSOCIATE (SENIOR CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR) SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE

Please answer the question(s) below as completely and thoroughly as possible, as your answer(s) may be used to assess your qualifications for movement to the next step in the recruitment process.

Describe your experience performing inspections and acting as an assistant resident engineer on Public Works construction projects, land developments, and related facilities; and/or describe your experience working in other public works engineering fields, such as transportation, sanitation / wastewater, stormwater, and/or encroachments. Include the types of projects you worked on, their size, and the scope of your responsibility.

Describe your experience and methods of handling complaints from, and conflicts with members of the public or others contacted in the course of work, whether by phone, mail/email or in person.

List all current public works related certifications that you have, including their expiration date (e.g. 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPR, QSP, materials-testing certification, etc.).

For candidates who do not possess an engineering-related associate’s or bachelor’s degree, list all college-level coursework completed in engineering, computer aided drafting, mathematics, geology, physics, chemistry, computer science or closely related fields, including the college, course title, and the number and type (semester or quarter) of course credits received.
