Distinguishing Characteristics

This is the journey level class in the network / communications series. Incumbents perform a full range of moderately difficult duties. Work is usually performed under general supervision and is independently performed within established guidelines and procedures, with technical guidance received from higher-level staff. Incumbents are able to identify moderately difficult problems and apply problem-solving skills to resolve them, often under tight time constraints. Errors may result in loss of customer/user time and/or data and may have substantial impact on department image
