$37.20-$47.03 hourly / $6,448.00-$8,152.00 monthly / $77,376.00-$97,822.40 yearlyUnder direction, to plan, coordinate and supervise the work of the Child Support Specialists who are engaged in gathering and analyzing information to establish and enforce child support cases; develop and conduct staff training; and perform other work as required.
This class is distinguished from the lower class of Child Support Specialist by its responsibility for the supervision and training of Child Support Specialists. It is distinguished from the next higher class of Child Support Manager in that the latter is responsible for the management of the Child Support Department.
Plan, organize, supervise, schedule and review the work of subordinate para-professional staff; assist in developing and implementing policies; develop and implement new and revised work procedures and manuals; keep abreast of changes in Federal, State and County laws, codes and regulations concerning child support and develop and implement new procedures as required; determine training needs and develop training programs; provide technical assistance and advice to Child Support Specialists and/or process difficult cases and actions; assist attorneys in preparing difficult and complex cases; conduct annual program review to determine compliance with State and Federal regulations and develop and implement corrective action plan as necessary; develop and manage the Quality Control program; review financial records such as tax returns, business financial records, payment histories; respond to inquiries from the public and other departments; prepare correspondence and reports; input, access and analyze data using a computer terminal; attend meetings and conferences.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying, unless otherwise specified. A typical way to obtain this knowledge and abilities would be:
Two years of experience as a Child Support Specialist II/III or three years of experience as a paralegal working in family law.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS
License Requirement: Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license or the ability to provide suitable transportation which is approved by the appointing authority.
