Cooper Standard is a global automotive supplier of body sealing systems, fluid handling systems and NVH controls. The company is currently expanding its Spartanburg facility.

 

 

Potential employment opportunities exist for:

Injection Mold Repair Technician - 2nd and 3rd Shift

 

 

Primary responsibilities include:   

  • Industrial welding (TIG, MIG and stick welding) 
  • Mirco TIG welding (custom set-up with Microscope) of Injection Mold inserts/component, Extrusion Dies and Punch & Die components
  • Manual machining as needed (Milling, Turning, Grinding, etc.)
  • Mold PMs (clean, inspect, resurface, parting line repair, etc.)
  • Metal fabrication as needed
  • Injection Mold Hot Runner system troubleshooting and repair
  • Mold repairs (rebuild damaged components, welding damaged parts, troubleshooting and analyzing issues before mold repairs are started)
  • Maintain 6S system in the Moldshop and organize/maintain mold spare parts inventory
  • Assist in executing Engineering Changes to molds (modification and revisions)
  • Assist in Engineering Trials/Prototype runs 

 

 

 

 

 

Primary responsibilities include:  

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years’ experience in a plastic injection molding environment
  • 3-5 years of welding experience, preferably Precision TIG Welding
  • 2-5 years manual machining experience and metal fabrication
