Sundaram - Clayton Limited - Production Team Member

Job Description:

Production Team Member must be able to learn and apply all safety and operating procedures in assigned area.  General Labor Production Team Member will perform various production jobs in the plant.   

Responsibilities: 

• Fully support the SCUSA Safety programs.
• Acquire job assignment from Team Leader.
• Support the team and the team members.
• Operate production equipment as assigned.
• Perform product inspection.
• Perform standardized work as instructed by Team Leader.
• Perform operator maintenance tasks within his/her team.
• Increase his/her competence to be able to maintain and continuously improve his/her activities.
• Contribute to a good work environment.  
• Support new activities, improvements, and reorganizations.      
• Assist with training, either training newer employees or filling in so that personnel can be setup for training.

Qualifications, Experience and/or Education:  

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ManuFirstSC (Formerly Lean Manufacturing) Certificate preferred.
• 1-year manufacturing experience OR
• 1-year military experience OR
• 1-year general labor experience such as construction, painter, heat intense manual labor.
• Must be at least 18 years old. 
• Strong attention to details with
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Availability to work ANY shift.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.

Compensation: Starting pay is $15 per hour

Training will be at no charge to trainees.
