Warehouse Employees - 1st Shift

  

 

Job Duties:  

  • Operate a variety of mobile industrial equipment (diesel and electric), including fork lifts, tuggers and excavators
  • Receive incoming parts, materials and supplies, unloading from delivery trucks and freight shipments
  • Place into inventory, all incoming parts, materials and supplies into the proper storage or production area
  • Working from picklists, prepare and deliver parts, materials and supplies to the production area in a timely and accurate manner
  • Organize and maintain warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available storage space while also ensuring that all products can be quickly and accurately retrieved for delivery
  • Move parts, particularly large components from initial storage to point of use on production line
  • Break down delivery packing and materials preparing parts, materials and supplies for use
  • Operate a variety of overhead lifting devices including overhead cranes
  • Develop solutions and problem solve for continuous improvement activities
  • Actively participate in process improvement activities (safety, quality and productivity)
  • Ensuring proper disposal of waste materials
  • Keep work area clean, free from safety hazards and follows all applicable safety rules
  • Maintain 5S, cleanliness and organization in storage areas and factory exterior
  • Work as a team member and co-operates with co-workers
  • Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends
  • Complete all other duties, as assigned
  • 1st Shift: Mon – Thurs for 10 hours (6 AM to 4:30 PM), Overtime possible daily and Fridays depending upon Production Schedule.

 

 

 

Experience Required: 

  • High School diploma (or GED)
  • 1 year of warehouse, product/parts handling experience in a manufacturing operation
  • Fork lift certification (preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient  in the execution of standardized methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and practices
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior
