Aerowerks Corporation of America is locating a new manufacturing facility in Cherokee County. Aerowerks specializes in the design and manufacture of material handling systems for the food industry. Potential employment opportunities exist for:
Trainee Grinder/Polisher
Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication plans
- Grind, polish, and finish stainless-steel surfaces to Aerowerks standards (training will be provided)
- Required to travel within the U.S. for final installation of equipment at job sites as a condition of this position
- Required to learn TIG welding as a condition of this position and advance to welder/polisher position
- Must be prepared to work in other areas and departments in the facility if asked to do so
Basic Requirements:
- Basic experience with hand tools, grinders etc.
- Ability to read blueprints and work independently if needed
- Must be enthusiastic, flexible, punctual and ready to learn
- Some experience in TIG welding and metal finishing techniques an advantage but not necessary as training will be provided

Location: Gaffney, SC
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Position: Full-time
Wage: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

Office Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
