Job Description Summary:
Assemble semi-finished and finished parts, to produce a finished mass timber product

Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSBILITES AND DUTIES:
  • Monitor, maintain, and service equipment as per the manufacturer’s requirements
  • Fabricate product per job specs and drawings
  • Assist in training of new employees or current employees learning new operations and skills
  • Read, and understand shop drawings, blueprints, product specifications, and process documents
  • Be knowledgeable on all hardware and fastener types
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure product meets job specs and tolerances
  • Handle and transport material with forklift and overhead crane
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment
  • Report issues with tools, equipment, or unsafe conditions
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned
SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Extensive construction experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend schematic engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to learn and master new assembly skills along with strong communication skills
  • Able to perform manual operations requiring adept dexterity
  • Able to competently perform visual inspection of finished parts
  • Familiarity with power tools, forklift, and overhead crane
  • Able to meet physical demands of the job: standing for extended periods, lifting loads up to 50 pounds, squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt.
  • Comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions
  • Forklift certificate
  • Overhead crane training and certification
  • Knowledge and adherence to all OSHA and Timberlab safety practices and procedures
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Strong sense of urgency

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Occasional exposure to weather, vibration, dust and fumes, electric shock, radiation, toxic/caustic chemicals
  • Requires frequent stooping/bending/crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, repeated lifting of up to 50lbs
  • Climbing, carrying loads, proximity to moving mechanical parts
  • Exposure to high levels of noise requiring ear protection
