IT Support Supervisor   

 

We are looking for future leaders of the pack for our new Distribution Center coming to Orangeburg, South Carolina! 

The IT Support Supervisor’s role is to provide Tier I - III support for all IT related issues.  They will be expected to oversee testing, analysis, and general WMS applications in support of core organizational functions and business processes.  The selected individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT-related system investments. Along with regular assigned duties, we look for people who want to take on special projects and stretch assignments to grow and develop with the organization.  

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide local leadership and oversight to all Supply Chain IT Support Team Members as well as Interact with Key Operational Roles in support of all facility goals and continuous improvement objectives
  • Ability to quickly learn, and support facility Supply Chain Applications and Hardware (Manhattan Active WMOS, Microsoft Office, RF and wireless Terminals, network hardware, Printers, etc.)
  • Regular interaction with peers and cross-functional leadership to collaboratively solve problems, drive improvements and efficiencies
  • Experience on WMOS 2011 version or higher is preferable
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Products preferred
  • Understanding of Warehouse Management System concepts, particularly around retail
  • Participation in IT project lifecycles/ implementation projects is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to facilitate communications between and among highly experienced business and IT team members
  • Strong organizational and project skills, allowing multi-tasking across several projects
  • Ability to understand the scope and intent of situations
  • Configure, test, analyze and support WMS applications, handheld RF equipment, desktops, laptops, printers, and multi-functional devices within the facility
  • Perform integrated quality assurance testing on system changes and work with end users to perform UAT on system changes prior to moving to the production environment
  • Collaborate with the team in the planning, design, development and execution of applications and IT Process
  • Track, document and resolve incidents and requests reported during the deployment of new applications as well as enhancements to existing applications
  • Provide end-user training along with site-level support; performs all functions in accordance with IT and the company’s business practices
  • Design and develop a knowledge bank to document resolutions for future post-action analysis
  • Provide onsite technical support to Distribution Center facility with a minimum of 175 employees; may be part of an on-call rotation for after-hours support as necessary
  • Ability to work with remote Infrastructure support team to resolve onsite technical and system issues in a timely manner

Requirements include:
  • Possess a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in operations or training
  • Understand ERP/MRP and/or WMS, specifically Manhattan WMOS experience, preferred
  • Possess excellent personal organization and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive while under tight deadlines and pressure all while maintain attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to speak to methods of interpersonal and conflict resolution and provide examples of such
  • Distribution or Manufacturing WMS leadership roles and IT Project experience
  • Degree or Equivalent Experience in IT or related field
