This is the supplemental questionnaire for the classification of Road District Supervisor - Senior (Tahoe). Part I will not be scored nor used for determining minimum qualifications but is provided for the applicant to review prior to completing the questionnaire and may also be used when determining assignment. Part II will be scored based on your checked responses.  Narratives provided by applicants describing training and/or experience will not be scored but will be available to the hiring authority and may be utilized for interview and selection determinations.

Part I: Minimum Qualifications 

This section will not be scored but may assist the applicant with determining how he/she meets the minimum qualifications for this position.

Do you possess at least four years of increasing responsible experience in road construction, maintenance and repair that involved the operation of various types of motorized equipment, including two years of supervisory responsibility?

Do you have the equivalent of an Associate’s degree (60 units) from an accredited college or university with major course work in heavy equipment maintenance and operation, construction technology or a related field?

If you lack the equivalent of an Associate’s degree but possess at least six years of experience described in #1 above, such experience, including at least two in a supervisory capacity, must be clearly described in your application’s work history to be considered as a substitute for the degree requirement.

Do you possess a valid Class B driver’s license with air brake and tanker endorsements?

Part II: Relevant Knowledge and Experience – Scored Examination

This section of the supplemental questionnaire is the Civil Service examination for this position. This supplemental questionnaire will be scored based on your checked responses below. Narratives provided by applicants describing training and/or experience will not be scored, but will be available to the hiring authority and may be utilized for interview and selection determination. Scores received from this section will determine applicant ranking and placement on the eligible list.
