This supplemental questionnaire will serve as the Civil Service examination for this recruitment and will be scored based on your checked responses below. Scores received from this examination will determine applicant ranking and placement on the eligible list. Narratives provided by applicants describing training and/or experience will not be scored but will be available to the hiring authority and may be utilized for interview and selection determination. Resumes, letters, and other materials will not be evaluated or considered as responses to the items in the supplemental questionnaire. In addition, responses to this questionnaire will not be used for determining minimum qualifications for this position.

PART 1 - BEST QUALIFIED SCREENING (Pass/Fail)

This section of the supplemental questionnaire may be used to conduct an application screening to select a reasonable number of the best qualified applicants who will proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process. PART 2 - TRAINING & EXPERIENCE EXAMINATION (Scored)

Based upon your responses below, your job-related training and experience will be evaluated using a pre-determined formula. Scores from this section will determine applicant ranking and placement on the eligible list. Designing infrastructure and installing P-25 digital trunking systems.

Performing network administration and monitoring for digital P-25 trunking systems, including upgrades and troubleshooting.

Developing and maintaining standards, procedures, and methodologies for P-25 trunking systems.

Designing and installing microwave networks.

Maintaining and monitoring microwave networks.

Designing and installing a Local Area Network (LAN).

Developing and maintaining standards, procedures, and methodologies for a Local Area Network (LAN).

Maintaining and administering a Local Area Network (LAN).

Monitoring a Local Area Network (LAN) and its infrastructure using peripheral software, analyzers, and other test equipment.

Preparing complex technical documents, system diagrams, drawings, and coverage maps.

Maintaining and administering receiver voting systems.

Designing and installing radio dispatch consoles.

Performing dispatch center maintenance and administration of radio, CAD, 911 phone consoles, and logging recorders.

Installing and programming mobile and portable subscriber units.

Troubleshooting and maintaining mobile and portable subscriber units.

Coordinating and completing projects specific to an area of assignment, including developing and monitoring budgets and resources.

Designing and directing project testing and quality assurance processes for assigned projects.

Monitoring vendor/partner performance to ensure compliance with agency specifications, procedures, and protocols.

Supporting technology in 911 dispatch centers.

Providing professional customer support for system-related software and/or hardware issues, needs, or requirements.

Troubleshooting and repairing communication systems of a complex and technical nature.

Implementing and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Installing and configuring virtual server operating systems on Virtual Host machines.

Installing, configuring, maintaining, and updating Virtual Machines in a Virtual Host environment.
